Dragon Ball Debuts Ultra Supervillain Frieza Form in New Promo

After 36 years, Dragon Ball has finally unveiled Frieza’s strongest form. Surprisingly, the strongest form isn’t Black Frieza but something totally new. However, the franchise did not reveal the new form as part of the anime or manga, but its video game, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

On October 30, Golden Frieza (Ultra Supervillain) will be available to play in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as part of its new upcoming DLC ​​called FUTURE SAGA Chapter 3.

Dragon Ball to Drop Frieza’s Strongest Form on October 30

On Tuesday, October 28, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Bandai Namco US announced that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is set to drop its FUTURE SAGA Chapter 3 DLC on October 30. This announcement was made with a trailer, giving fans a first look at Broly (DB Super) and Golden Frieza (Ultra Supervillain).

Even fans must recall, Frieza’s strongest form is his “Black Frieza” form, which debuted in Dragon Ball Super manga. However, as the form has yet to be animated as part of the anime, the same cannot be added to the video games.

Hence, in an attempt to give fans something close to the infamous transformation, Bandai Namco came up with the Golden Frieza (Ultra Supervillain) form. This transformation is essentially the same as the Black Frieza form but for the video games.

The same can also be noted in the trailer as the new Golden Frieza (Ultra Supervillain) transformation is essentially the Golden Frieza form with parts of it resembling the colors of the Black Frieza form. The only major difference is the pink crystal embedded on the left side of Frieza’s chest, which is a trademark for Fu’s Ultra Supervillain power up.

As hinted at by the trailer, Fu and Frieza are going to team up in FUTURE SAGA Chapter 3, allowing the Galactic Emperor to unlock his new strongest transformation. However, Frieza isn’t going to stop at just that, as he is set to make a wish to Shenron and also control Broly to do his bidding.

What Can Fans Expect From Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s FUTURE SAGA Chapter 3?

As announced by Bandai Namco US, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s FUTURE SAGA Chapter 3 DLC will see Broly (DB Super) and Golden Frieza (Ultra Supervillain) become playable characters. The DLC will include Chapters 1-3, with Chapter 4 coming in 2026.
