71% of the completion rate of the project in the middle of 2026

Check out the engineer Ibrahim Maky, the head of the Egyptian Petroleum Corporation, the implementation of the project of the Al-Suis Company for the extraction of methane in the city of Damiyat, which reached a completion rate of about 71%, and it is planned to enter the commercial production stage by the end of June 2026.

According to the statement from the Ministry of Petroleum, the project aims to produce approximately 140 thousand tons annually of formaldehyde, urea formaldehyde, and sulfonated formaldehyde products, which are used in various industries such as fertilizers, furniture, and wooden panels (MDF), and to improve the properties of prefabricated concrete.

The visit came to carry out the tasks of engineer Karim Badwi, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, to follow the implementation of projects periodically to achieve the highest rates of completion and reduce obstacles.

During the tour, the engineer Ibrahim Maky thanked the team for the efforts made, confirming the need to reduce the implementation schedule, while adhering to the safety standards within the site, emphasizing the provision of all support for the completion of the project as soon as possible.
