The series deals with the rise of Orhan Ghazi as a young leader, and his struggle with internal and external alliances, as well as the battles fought against the Byzantines and other competing powers, in addition to the relationships within the ruling family, and the decisions that shaped the features of the Ottoman era in its beginnings.
