During the meeting, Engineer Mahmoud Esamt presented in detail the capacities and locations of the green hydrogen production projects, highlighted the projects that were given the opportunity to start studies, and the projects that will be implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, and also presented the documents related to the green hydrogen projects, and the implementation plan of each agreement for various renewable energy projects, including 8 memorandums of understanding and 15 framework agreements, concluded with 23 companies and alliances.
As presented by the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, the determinants of the Ministry’s plan to prepare for the summer of 2025 in coordination with the various stakeholders, where it addressed the situation of saving the amounts of fuel and natural gas needed to operate power plants, in addition to the situation of renewable energy plants expected to enter service during the next summer, and the effect of this on achieving the target savings in fuel.
In turn, Lwaa Nasser Fawzi presented the status of land allocation for new and renewable energy projects since 2016 and until now, in the various target areas, including the areas issued by the Republic’s decrees, and the decrees are currently in progress, explaining that the total areas issued by the Republic’s decrees in this regard is about 41.3 thousand km2, and it is currently in the process of issuing decrees for a total of 4859.3 km2, to reach the total of the year للمصاحة المُخدازة إذاء إلى قرابة 46.2 الف كم2 equivalent to 10.9 million فدان.
