It seems that Adel Imam will return to the cinema screen strongly, after the announcement of Rami Imam about the latest project, he will introduce two of his most famous films, but in a different way to suit his generation.
In a special interview with ET in Arabic, Rami confirmed that the new part of “Shams Al-Znati” is still in progress despite the previous disagreements between director Omar Salama and the production company, explaining that the action will not be a direct sequel to the original film released in 1991, but a story that precedes the events (prequel) and covers the life of Shams Al-Zanati in his youth.
وعن سبح ناذا توليه المقائر, قال رامي: “مش عقن اكون المخرج, فيلم ما هوش تكملة, هو ما قبل شمس الزناتي, وتبابااً كان يسادني اكون المخرج, لكن في محقر شغال عليه دلوقتي والحمد لله.”
Rami also pointed out that he is working on remaking the film “The Search for Silver” that was released in 1973 in a new version, saying that the next version will be a remake with a contemporary treatment that suits the taste of today’s youth: “I will try to change it for 2025, but the same story but the new youth, because the old movie did not appeal to the current generation.”
And about the possibility of sharing the characters from the original version, type: “The surprise remains.”
Besides that, Rami confirmed that the Imam’s family is keen to preserve the image of Al-Zaim, who has been loved by the public for decades, explaining that the people’s love does not stop: “I don’t stop loving you every day, not only in the joy, in the street and in every place, people stop me and pray for him.”
As he found out that Adel Imam does not use social media, but he constantly looks at what is published on him: “Who read it, and read it, and we know it.”
So, it seems that the family of Al-Za’im is moving forward with a clear plan to re-present the legacy in a way that will reduce the history and address the future at the same time.
