The Central Blood Bank launched the Blood Donation Campaign, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, in conjunction with the Embassy’s celebrations commemorating the 80th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, which takes place on August 17 of each year.
The aim of the campaign is to educate the employees of the embassy and a number of Indonesian communities participating in the campaign, with the health benefits that accrue to the donor, and the human value of donating blood in saving the lives of others, as part of the partnership of the Egyptian Crescent and the permanent cooperation with all parties and institutions to provide safe blood for patients and blood transfusion situations.

It states that, Al-Halal Al-Ahmar Al-Masri began to establish the Banu Al-Dim in conjunction with the October 1973 war; To support the various health institutions of the state, in order to guarantee the safety of the blood, and to provide blood bags and derivatives according to the highest quality standards for cases requiring blood transfusion.
