The “Oranj Corners Egypt” program announced the graduation of 100 startup companies in the first batch of the program for 2025 in the Egyptian Delta, during the ceremony organized under the auspices of Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, and Ambassador Beiter Mollima, Ambassador of the Netherlands in Cairo; Based on the Dutch Embassy in Cairo, and in partnership with a number of private sector companies, as part of the interest in spreading the concept of innovation and business among Egyptian youth, the event was attended by a select group of government representatives and private sector development partners.
In this context, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, the Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, explained that empowering entrepreneurs through promoting innovation and creating new job opportunities is one of the main pillars of the economic development model in Egypt, which is based on increasing the participation of the private sector in development, and what we have seen today from the graduation of 100 start-up companies under the “Orange Corners” program, which is a real example of how international cooperation and partnership with the private sector can create opportunities at the local level. وتسهم في رقيقة نمو شمل في في سكتورات في تحميل للمناخ للمناخ.
Among the companies that graduate in the first installment of the program, there are 52 companies led by women, which reflects the program’s strong commitment to women’s empowerment and promoting overall economic growth, as the program aims to ensure the participation of women by more than 50% of the total participants, confirming their belief in the importance of women’s inclusion in economic development and empowering them to build a prosperous professional future.

The program is a comprehensive platform that supports young entrepreneurs by providing specialized training in business development, guidance and professional guidance, providing access to networks and opportunities for exploitation, and providing the necessary support to establish projects capable of growth and sustainability.
It is expected that the program will be supported by approximately 130 startups in 2025, including 100 companies in the delta region in the governorates of Alexandria, Al-Bahira, Kafr El-Sheikh, Al-Qahlia, and Al-Manufiyah, as well as 30 companies in Upper Egypt, both in Assiut and Al-Aqsa. ويُقدر أن يساهم كل متخرج في خلق ما بين جيفيفتين إلى five new jobs, which means the possibility of providing more than 3000 opportunities for direct and indirect work.
It is important to mention that the “Orange Corners” program was launched in 2021, as part of a global initiative from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and is implemented locally by the “Outree” Foundation, supported by important partners in the country. The program aims to empower young people between the ages of 18 and 35 in the target areas, and turn their ideas into innovative projects that can be expanded, in line with the vision of Egypt 2030 and the five main goals of the sustainable development goals of the United Nations (goals 4, 5, 8, 9, and 13). The program contributes directly to supporting overall growth, continuing the culture of innovation, and promoting the principle of sustainability, based on the early belief that young people are the main driver of Egypt’s future.
