The fifth session of the Bahrain Film Festival began on Thursday, October 30, under the theme “short films… great stories”, in a festive atmosphere, hosted by the “Marrasi Gallery” with extensive participation from the stars and the Arab cinema industry.
And in private meetings with ET in Arabic, a number of the stars expressed their happiness with sharing and sent messages of love and encouragement to the Gulf and Arabic cinema industry.

At the beginning of the meeting, Rami Imam expressed his pride in participating for the first time in the Bahrain Film Festival, saying: “I’m very happy to be in this event, and it’s the first time I’m honored to be in the festival. Having a cinema in the Gulf is a big development for the entire Arab cinema, and I’m happy with the progress that’s happening in Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Bahrain and the rest of the Gulf countries, and we’re all lucky.”
He added that this development reflects the development of the film industry in the Arab region and creates new cooperation opportunities between the various Gulf and Egyptian markets.
Kareem Al-Shanawi: “Al-Fursa, we don’t have a job.”
As for Karim Al-Shanawi, he emphasized the importance of communication between the film industry in the Arab countries, explaining: “We need to communicate more, and see some jobs, because the industry is growing. The Bahraini, Moroccan, and Iraqi markets are very important, and we want to open industries to some because Arabic stories don’t move unless we expand.”
He pointed out that interacting with the public in Bahrain and participating in shows such as Al-Fazil helps to strengthen technical relations and expand the scope of Arabic viewing.

And in the manner of Al-Afwi, she expressed her happiness with the participation of the festival: “It is very important for the world to speak in the language of the cinema, and in all the countries the cinema is with us. It is very important for the festival and the people.”

And after honoring her in the festival, she spoke to me and said: “Wallah ma بعرف شو بدي قول, انا سعيدة ومرعوبة بنفس لقط.

Abdallah al-Bushhari: “Ay دعوة من بحرين ألبّيها بكل حب”
كما أعرب عبدالله بوشهري عن ساعدة وقائً: “أكيد, انا دايمً اي دعوة من مملكة البحرين I am very happy in it, وجودي اليوم في المحجنة ايفتخر فيه.”

About her participation as a member of the student film review committee, Fahad said: “God willing, Bahrain is dear to our hearts and the festival is developing every year, and the Minister of Information’s desire is clear.
محمد ممدوح : “أول مرحة آزور البحرين وسعيد جدً بالمشاركة”
واقل محمد ممدوح: “It’s the first time I’m in Bahrain and I’m sad. The country is sweet and the festival is nice. God willing, people are surprised and it’s a successful festival.”

Brouin Habib, a member of the judging committee for short feature films, said that this year he witnessed a special presence in the independent cinema, and we had a beautiful performance in which names like Maryam Naoum, and a conversation session with Rami Imam about the production between Arabia and the world, and another with the great artist Mona Wasif, and I’m happy that it’s the first time I met her on the ground.
