A video clip shared on social networking sites in Turkey caused a wide wave of anger, after showing footage of the engagement celebration of young children in a Turkish village.
He described the incident as shocking and inhumane, and pushed many to demand urgent official action.
The video shows the children wearing traditional wedding clothes amid a festive atmosphere in the presence of a number of family members, while it was clear to them that they did not reach puberty.
And soon the episode turned into a matter of public opinion, as the digital platforms were filled with angry comments condemning what happened, and the order came to demand the authorities to intervene immediately to protect children from such practices.
As a large number of citizens called directly to the Ministry of Family and Social Services of Turkey to open an investigation and calculate those responsible for organizing the celebration.
