The technical meeting for the world championship to lift the weight of the Olympic Games was held today, in preparation for the launch of the world event that will be held on Egyptian soil with the participation of many world champions and representatives of 70 countries.
And the meeting was witnessed by the heads of state and the participating countries to review the technical and organizational details of the championship, which is the largest in the history of the game in terms of the number of players and missions, where Egypt participates in the largest mission in the history of its participation in the world championships.
The upper committee of the organization of the championship led by Dr. Hussam al-Din Mustafa completed all the logistical and technical arrangements, from the preparation of the main hall to the reception of the food, with the careful follow-up of the various working parties.
It is scheduled to host the opening ceremony tomorrow, Thursday, at the end of the sixth evening in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, the Minister of Youth and Sports, and a number of notable political and sports figures, as well as the Egyptian Al-Balram Committee.
An international press conference will also be held at the gymnasium at the end of the fifth evening at the request of the president of the International Olympic Weightlifting Committee, to highlight the details of the tournament that confirms Egypt’s ability to organize major international sports events.
