Sabaliiti was born in the city of Chirtaldo in the province of Florence in 1959, and began his training career before 30 years after playing in the ranks of several clubs, among them Sabizia and Embolii.

And with the Egyptian club, he started training, as he led the team to win the third-tier Italian Cup, then achieved promotion to the Italian Premier League.

He also led Udinese to qualify for the European Championships three times in a row, before achieving a historic achievement in the 2004-2005 season by leading the team to the first participation in the European Champions League in its history, opening the door for him to coach Roma for four seasons, during which he won two titles in the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup.

And in the period from 2009 to 2014, he had a successful experience abroad with Zenit Saint Petersburg in Russia, winning the Russian League title twice, as well as the domestic cup and the Russian Super Cup, before returning to Italy to train Roma again and then Inter Milan.

And the coach was led by Napoli to qualify for the Italian League season 2022-2023, before taking over the task of training the Italian national team until June last.
