Greggs has finally announced the return of its Festive Bake – and fans don’t have long to wait

The bakery chain has confirmed its Christmas menu will land in shops next Thursday, November 6. In case you’ve never tried one, the Festive Bake is filled with pieces of chicken, sage and onion stuffing and bacon, and covered in a creamy sage and cranberry sauce.

Greggs describes it as: “Let’s be honest, the countdown to Christmas doesn’t really begin until you’ve had that first bite of a Festive Bake…

“Like the obligatory pair of socks in your stocking every year or the office party that always gets out of hand, it just wouldn’t be Christmas without it.”

The Vegan Lattice (Festive Edition) – formerly known as the Vegan Festive Bake – will also be making a return to shops nationwide. This features savory flavor Quorn mycoprotein pieces, sage and onion stuffing, vegan bacon, and finished with cranberry and red onion sauce.

Greggs says: “The Festive Bake loves to share the spotlight with its much-adored companion. Just as magnificent, just as tasty, and just as festive, the Vegan Lattice (Festive Edition) is just as back.”

Also on the menu is the Hot Christmas Lunch Baguette, which is described as offering “the comfort of a Christmas dinner on the go”. It is packed with chicken, sage and onion stuffing, bacon, melted cheddar, cranberry relish, and onion gravy.

Meanwhile, the Hot Festive Flatbread is also returning to the Greggs festive line-up. This features sage and onion chicken mayo, bacon and cranberry relish, all packed into a warm flatbread.

For those with a sweet tooth, a host of festive favorites are about to hit the shelves. Customers can tuck into the Christmas Cake Slice, the warmly spiced Gingerbread Muffin, the indulgent Chocolate & Hazelnut Doughnut, and luxurious Christmas Mini Caramel Shortbreads.

Greggs is also adding a range of festive hot drinks to warm you up this winter. There is the Mint Mocha and the comforting Mint Hot Chocolate, as well as the spice-infused Gingerbread Latte and the Salted Caramel Latte. Both lattes are also available over ice.

It comes after Greggs confirmed it has raised the price of some of its menu items in a move the business blames on rising costs.

The bakery chain has raised the price of its two-part breakfast deal, which includes a roll and drink, from £2.95 to £3.15. The three-part breakfast deal, which also includes a side such as a yoghurt pot or hash browns, has risen from £3.95 to £4.15.

Greggs has also confirmed that some of its baked goods, such as the empire biscuit, have gone up by 5p. It comes after Greggs increased the price of its sausage roll earlier this year by 5p, to £1.30.
