American President Donald Trump said that the nuclear tests will begin immediately, according to what was reported by “Sky News Arabiya” in urgent need.

The American president said early Thursday that the United States will share top-secret technologies with Seoul to enable it to build a nuclear-powered submarine, after meeting with the president of South Korea.
South Korean President Lee Jae-myung confirmed during his meeting with Trump on Wednesday that the goal is to “renew the alliance” with the United States, referring to plans to increase military spending to reduce the financial burden on Washington.
He said that there may have been a misunderstanding during their last conversation in August regarding nuclear submarines, explaining that his government is seeking nuclear fuel and not nuclear weapons.
He added that South Korea’s possession of nuclear-powered submarines could help support American activities in the region, according to the American Associated Press.
Previously, Trump made a crucial visit to Seoul on the occasion of the APEC 2025 summit, and the American president announced several strategic deals with his historical ally South Korea, including huge investments, expansion of naval defense, and alternative tariff reductions, which reflects a shift in the priorities of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Trump said that South Korea agreed to pump up to 600 billion dollars in investments aimed at the United States, describing this number as a “strategic exercise” to boost American manufacturing and attract foreign capital.
In addition, Trump announced that Seoul will buy large quantities of American oil and gas under the energy agreement, stressing that this clause promotes “mutual trust” in the field of energy security between the two countries.
Trump also pointed out that South Korea has agreed to pay approximately 350 billion dollars against the United States’ reduction in customs duties, and that constitutes a step towards a future settlement in trade relations between the allies.
