And in his memoirs, Juan Carlos categorically does not mention the existence of his romantic relationship with Princess Diana Spencer, and the rumors that broke out between 1986 and 1988, during the courtship of Princess Diana – Princess Diana and Prince Charles spent their summer vacation with their children, William and Harry, at the Marifint Palace, the summer residence of the Spanish royal family in Majorca.

During that visit, the cameras caught several pictures of King Juan Carlos and Princess Diana, including a picture of them talking to the king’s wife Fortuna, especially during that period.

And in his memoirs, Juan Carlos described Princess Diana as being silent, white, and isolated except for the prophets, referring to her interactions only with the media and the press.

The popularity of Juan Carlos declined after the period of his throne because of the financial and personal wealth that followed him, including the elephant hunting trip in Africa in 2012.

In 2020, Juan Carlos decided to leave Spain to avoid the embarrassment he caused to the royal family due to the continuation of investigations into the financial issues in which he was accused, while his wife, Queen Sofia, remained in Spain to participate in official events with the royal family.
