The International Criminal Court issued a warrant for Netanyahu’s arrest
In the official statement, the court confirmed that it submitted a request to Hungary based on the provisions of the basic system of Rome, which allows the adoption of judicial procedures against countries that do not commit to cooperation with the court, which hinders the performance of its functions and the use of its powers.
The court added that Hungary violated its international obligations by refusing to arrest Netanyahu, despite the official request sent by the court to the Hungarian government on April 3, the day Netanyahu arrived in Hungary.
And before his meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister in Budapest, the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, announced that he would withdraw from the International Criminal Court.
