Dr. Ahmed Taha, head of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control, confirmed that the launch of the unified national regulatory framework for cardiac resuscitation (CPR) represents a qualitative shift in efforts to improve the quality of emergency care and patient safety, pointing out that the adoption of standardized protocols based on scientific evidence in this area directly contributes to reducing the number of deaths resulting from sudden cardiac arrest in health facilities.

He explained that the implementation of the unified system of training for cardiac care, and the implementation of an effective “blue code” system within the health facilities, are among the basic requirements that ensure the organization’s response in emergency situations, in order to achieve justice in care and help save lives.
“Taha” pointed out that the clinical reality in Egypt reveals a serious gap in the survival rate after cardiac arrest, where the percentage of those who return to the hospital alive after the pulse is restored does not exceed 10%, compared to the 88% survival rate for cases that occur outside the hospital, which confirms that the existence of a unified and organized system for response, training and preparedness is a crucial element in improving the results.
During the opening of the official event for the announcement of the national regulatory document for cardiac resuscitation (CPR), which was organized in partnership between the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control, the World Health Organization, and the Egyptian Health Council, the head of the authority confirmed that “Jahar” is committed to applying these standards within the approved facilities, and following up on its operational commitments through precise competitive and technical mechanisms to ensure the effectiveness of its implementation and sustainability.

During the event, the speakers emphasized the importance of turning the document into an institutional practice and a strong national culture, stressing that its success requires integration between government agencies and the private sector, and the provision of training services, the availability of equipment and equipment according to uniform specifications “such as an emergency vehicle”, and the implementation of training programs covering basic and advanced skills, according to the recommendations of the International Committee for Guidelines on Human Resources ILCOR and the World Health Organization WHO.

Muhammad Awad Taj al-Din, on the necessity that the regulatory frameworks created are practical on the ground, through training programs that enable the medical team to adhere to standard procedures, and to deal quickly and safely with emergency situations, in order to achieve the desired effect in improving health indicators and reducing avoidable deaths.

Ali Al-Ghamrawi, deeply appreciative of this important step, affirming that it is a qualitative step towards developing organizational frameworks for cardiac resuscitation and strengthening coordination between health institutions, contributing to improving the quality of health care and protecting the lives of patients.
وكشف د. Ahmed Al-Sabki, on the training of 45% of its employees on basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS), and 30% on advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ACLS), in three internationally accredited training centers in Port Said, Luxor, and South Sinai, also pointed out that the organization aims to train 100% of the workforce by 2026, which will enhance the ability of the health system to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations.

As the event saw a detailed presentation of the content of the regulatory document, the members of the committee concerned prepared it, including a description of the scope of its implementation, the national road map, the challenges and opportunities, the most important “blue code” standards, the formation of the rapid intervention team, the preparation of the ambulance, and the updating of the medical training programs.
