Dalia Al-Baz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Refrigeration Authority, and Mohamed Abdel-Qader, CEO of Citi Bank of Egypt, witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the National Refrigeration Authority and Citi Bank in the field of providing collection services, in the framework of supporting the state’s strategy to promote financial inclusion, and to expand the beneficiary base of collection services, contributing to the support of the national economy and strengthening the integration between financial and banking institutions in Egypt.
Al-Baz said that the signing of this protocol will continue the efforts of the Egyptian post to strengthen cooperation with the banking sector to provide advanced financial services.
She explained that the protocol allows the provision of collection services to “Sity Bank” customers from companies that wish to collect their deposits, through the network of the Egyptian post office, which exceeds 4,600 branches spread throughout the Republic, and then transfer them directly to their accounts with the bank, which contributes to facilitating the financial collection cycle, achieves a wider distribution of these companies in the Egyptian market, and increases the volume of daily commercial transactions of the bank and companies together, which supports the growth of the national economy and enhances the quality and ease of services المرودة للموطعين
Mohamed Abd al-Qader, CEO of City Bank of Egypt, pointed out that the signing of this protocol reflects the commitment of “City Bank” to support the efforts of the Egyptian state in expanding the financial base; The cooperation with the postal service is a unique model for the partnership between banking institutions and leading national organizations in providing financial services, contributing to enhancing access to banking services to new categories of citizens, and supporting the transformation towards an integrated and sustainable economy.
He confirmed that this partnership comes as part of the strategy of “Sity Bank” to expand the scope of its services in emerging markets, and promote the use of innovative digital solutions that enable customers to manage their financial transactions easily and safely, supporting the economic development goals of Egypt.
