EXCLUSIVE: Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley) and Jess Weixler (Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story) have signed on to star in Clawswhich is currently in production in Upstate New York.
Written and directed by the Adams Brothers (Jesse and Gabriel), the film follows a loving couple who make a deadly mistake when they invite their closest friends and family to a birthday celebration — honoring the strange, feral girl they discovered in their basement.
Described as a “haunted fairytale for the whole family,” the cast includes Presley Alexander (The Accountant 2), Sydney Cole Alexander (Severance), Kirk Fox (Parks and Recreation), Saagar Shaikh (Deli Boys), Laura Cayouette (Django Unchained), Ned Bellamy (Seinfeld), Anthony Joo (The Naughty Nine), Teagan Meredith, Cruz and Logan Taylor.
Emmy-nominated for his role on HBO comedy Silicon ValleyMiddleditch’s recent credits include the Netflix comedy series Middleditch & Schwartz, Godzilla: King of the MonstersCBS’s sitcom B Positive from Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre, and the Tony-nominated Broadway production Eureka Day.
Weixler’s credits included Ava opposite Jessica Chastain, It Chapter Two, The Death of Dick Long Frome Everything Everywhere, Oscar-winner Daniel Scheinert, the indie body horror Teethand Chained for Life. Her TV credits include AMC’s The Son and CBS’s The Good Wife.
The second feature produced by the Adams Brothers features cinematographer Adam Muro, the SPFX team behind the Terrifier Trilogy, and producer Alex Knapp. Shooting locations include the Historic 1785 Quakenboss Tavern, located in the Hudson Valley near the town of Kinderhook.
