One Piece Season 2 Release Date Confirmed

One Piece season 2 has received an official release date from Netflix, confirming when the Straw Hats’ live-action adventure in the Grand Line begins. One Piece season 2 will showcase the beginning of Luffy and his crew venturing into the Grand Line, adapting multiple arcs from the Alabasta Saga, pulled from the pages of Eiichiro Oda’s manga.

Now, Netflix has unveiled a new poster for One Piece season 2, confirming a release date of Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The poster gives season 2 the subtitle “Into the Grand Line.” Visually, it features Luffy in the snow on Drum Island, which will appear in the back half of the season. Check out the confirmation below:

One Piece season 1 aired in August 2023, meaning it’ll have been two and a half years since the show was last on Netflix. However, the adventure it’ll feature is promising, as the Straw Hats jump from island to island on their quest for the titular One Piece. In this arc, they’ll be dealing with the nefarious organization Baroque Works.

Nor for the progression of the story, One Piece season 1 ended with Luffy and his crew inching closer to the Grand Line. However, their final stop in the East Blue will be Loguetown, an island that serves as a prelude to their larger escapades. It’ll also feature characters like Smoker and Tashigi, who have long-standing importance for the next Saga.

Season 2 will also feature various new allies for the Straw Hats. New characters in One Piece season 2 will include Vivi Nefertari, princess of the Alabasta Kingdom, and Chopper, a reindeer and doctor. There will also be some new antagonists under Baroque Works, such as Mr. 3 and Crocodile. This cast expansion emphasizes the major events that will unfold.

One Piece season 3 has also been confirmed already. Season 2 will end with the Drum Island Arc, which leaves one final part of the Alabasta Saga to be adapted. Since season 3 is set to begin filming in November, the lengthy wait between seasons 1 and 2 may not be reflected in the release schedule between seasons going forward.

With One Piece season 2 confirmed to be less than five months away, it won’t be long before the Straw Hats return to the small screen on their next adventure. Given how big a success season 1 was for the platform, it seems Netflix has believed the newest installment will leave just as big a mark on their catalog of live-action anime adaptations.
