‘Genius’ £14 airer ‘saves so much space’ and holds ‘decent amount’ of laundry

Amazon has discounted an “excellent” over door airer that saves on space and money and folds away after use

Amazon is selling a “brilliant” over door airer that “saves so much space” for under £15. The retailer has discounted the well-reviewed OHS Over Door Airer from £19.99 to £13.99.

Elsewhere, Debenhams offers the OHS Over Door Clothes Airer for £21.99. Amazon’s product description states: “Quickly and gently dry your laundry clothes with natural air dryer, which prevents damage and shrinkage you normally find with most standard tumble dryers or heated airers.

“Easy to set up behind the door airer with foldable design and hooks provided that sit rack on the door of your choosing. Over door drying rack provides up to 5 meters of drying space for clothes, towels and delicacies.

The airer takes up no floor space, and thanks to its concertina design, it can also be folded away after use. Reviewers loved the functionality of the product, which received an average rating of 4.3/5.

One impressed shopper said: “Space saving genius. This is brilliant. Saves so much space in my tiny bungalow. Wish I had known about this earlier.”

Another reviewer praised: “This is the best over door airer I have tried to date. It can hold a decent amount, even when spaced out. It’s not flipping and flapping, very solid and capable one piece. Best of all, I like it most because it preserves floor space, and above head space. Am so happy with my purchase, that I bought 2!”

However, someone else shared mixed feedback. The reviewer had lots of good things to say, writing: “Excellent quite sturdy and takes a machine load. Have it in my boiler cupboard (electric), it dries everything in less than 24 hours.” But they also shared a warning: “Make sure your door is not too deep.”

A different reviewer highlighted a potential flaw, commenting: “Like it. Only problem is when unfolding it it always comes off the fabric things that hold it onto the door most annoying trying to get it back on. Otherwise seems strong and decent quality.”
