Muhammad said in his statements, “This Hajj Gharib does not know how to say the word ‘bad’, he does not know how to curse, and he does not know how to joke with the word ‘monster’,” stressing that the 66-year-old man did not deserve this brutal attack.
The beginning of the conflict… failed attempts at an amicable solution
Muhammad narrated the details of the beginning of the crisis, saying: ‘In the beginning there were problems and disagreements regarding the apartment, which was an old rented apartment, and clashes occurred between Hajj Gharib’s son, whose name is Muhammad, and Ali, the owner of the property.’
He added: ‘They brought a video and said that this video was of Hajj Gharib’s son stealing the apartment. We told them, ‘This is not him, my son. His appearance, posture, and appearance are not clear.’ They said, ‘No, he is in good health.’”
Dangerous escalation and threats of forced eviction
Muhammad continued: “They told us to inform the police. The police came and made reports, and in the prosecution a reconciliation was concluded and everyone waived his report, but at the end of the day they went to my sister’s husband and mine and said to them: You must leave the house, and if you don’t leave, we will do such and such.”
He explained that the family has been living in the apartment for 35 years under the old rental system, which has angered the landlord, who is trying to evict them by force.

Muhammad revealed: “We went to reach an understanding with them. We spoke to Asim, the big brother, and we told him, ‘Come on, let us sit down and talk and resolve the issue.’ They said, ‘No, the issue is over and there is no talk about it.’”
He added: ‘Hajj Gharib said five days and he answered you. We spoke to him again and he said, ‘Come home.’ We went to the house. The first time he came from under him, he stopped in front of the house and said: ‘I came and I want so-and-so and so-and-so to go to the apartment, Muhammad Gharib.’
Violent escalation on the ladder
Muhammad narrated a terrifying scene, saying: ‘Assem started to climb the stairs and he said: I’m going to throw him from above, I’m going to fall in love with you, he’s going to attack us, people are surrounding the stairs, and I have all these videos with me.’
He added: ‘When Assem saw me, he started hitting me in the face all the time. I honestly responded to him, and a fight broke out and the people detained us. We went upstairs to the apartment. They began to sit around the door in order to break it down and enter us, and I and my sister’s children broke the door with our bodies.’
An assault on a girl alone in the apartment
In a dangerous development, Muhammad revealed: “On our way to the station, we received a phone that said he attacked my niece. She was alone in the apartment. He entered her and broke the door to the room. He wanted to hit her, had people not surrounded her.”
He added: ‘My sister heard and came out. When she defended her daughter, he beat her, and her son was with her defending his mother. They beat him with a knife and injured his hand. He took 3 stitches and there is a medical report on the whole matter.’

Regarding the video that spread widely, Muhammad said: “On Friday morning, after prayer, Hajj Gharib was going to get treatment from home. He needed to enter. Asim prevented him and blocked the door with a chain, and told him, ‘You will not enter.’”
He added: ‘His other brother grabbed a hammer and the slapping that you saw in the video occurred, and of course my sister-in-law was filming and then she called us and the police.’
Hajj Gharib is sick and undergoing dialysis
Muhammad emphasized the critical health condition of the victim, saying: ‘This is a 66-year-old man, tired, on dialysis, and has high blood pressure, diabetes, and a heart problem. Are you beating him in this barbaric way?’
He added: ‘We are now in front of the laundry center. He will come from the department now, God willing, and he will wash.’
A categorical refusal to give up the records
Regarding the possibility of concession, Muhammad said decisively: ‘No, it is rejected, of course. There is no concession, even if Hajj Gharib would concede. I am in the court, my sister is in the court, my nephew is in the court, we will not concede.’
The accused was arrested and the security services were praised
Muhammad concluded his speech by saying: ‘I would like to thank the security men, since the moment they saw the incident and what happened to Hajj Gharib, frankly, they did not hesitate until they brought him, thank God.’
He added: ‘This was the promise of the head of investigations. He said I would bring him, and thank God he was a man and I spoke to him. He is currently detained in the police station, and God willing, tomorrow he will go to the prosecution in the morning.’
