‘A Long Winter’ Adds Kit Connor To Cast (EXCLUSIVE)

EXCLUSIVE: Kit Connor is reuniting with D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, his co-star in A24’s WarfareMr A Long Winterthe new drama from four-time BAFTA nominee Andrew Haigh (All of Us Strangers), which also stars Fred Hechinger.

No word yet on the role Connor is playing. While still unconfirmed, we’re told the film follows Louise, the alcoholic mother of Mike (Hechinger) and Tommy, who takes off after a quarrel with her husband Lester — walking with her dog to the home of her brother Frank, quite a few miles away. When a snowstorm blows up suddenly and socks in the entire area, Lester and Mike begin a search that soon expands with the help of local neighbors and law enforcement.

The project has been gestating for some time; we first reached out on it nearly a year ago. Producer credits are still being finalized, but sources say Haigh will direct from his own script, as he has in the past.

A fast-rising British actor, Connor is known for starring on the shows Heartstopper and His Dark Materialsas well as roles in films like Little Joe and Rocketman. Upcoming, he’ll also be seen in his Warfare director Alex Garland’s live-action adaptation of the video game Elden Ring for A24, as well as the zombie horror film Raptureindies One of Us and A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrowand the YA franchise-extending TV movie Heartstopper: Forever. He is repped by Independent Talent Group, WME, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
