You can CLAIM Child Benefit 48 HOURS AFTER YOU’VE REGISTRED THE BIRTH OF YOUR CHILD, OR ONCE A CHILD COMES TO LIVE WITH YOU. It can be backdated for up to three months from the date you make the claim.
