A total of two billion pounds .. The Ministry of Higher Education offers a tender for medical insurance to expatriate students

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has proposed a general tender No. (7) to provide comprehensive medical insurance to expatriate students and subscribe to one of the clubs for expatriate students for the next fiscal year 2026/2025.

And “Tomorrow’s Funds” learned from informed sources that the tender includes medical insurance for the 20,000 students, with a maximum coverage of 100 thousand pounds per student with a total coverage of up to two billion pounds.

The sources added in exclusive statements, that the document issued for students insurance includes the services of outpatient clinics, including the detection of consulting doctors clinics, emergency cases, physiotherapy, in addition to the disbursement of medicines, medical analyzes and laboratory examinations.

She pointed out that the document also includes the internal treatment service for hospitals, with its surgeries, medicines and medical supplies, along with hospital residence expenses, in addition to treating accidents and treating chronic diseases.

She pointed out that the insured students between the ages of 17-24 years, and the period of insurance policy required for medical insurance for students reaches a year.

Regarding the tender for the participation of the clubs, the sources indicated that the subscription for expatriate students – which numbered approximately 20 thousand students – is required in one of the clubs for a period of 4 years, renewable with the approval of the two parties, provided that the branches of the advanced club are not less than 7 branches at the level of the Republic.

She added that the tender includes granting the student an annual athletic membership in which the expatriate student has all the privileges of the Egyptian sports member from entering the club and its branches, using stadiums and practicing sports activities and service facilities according to the targeted numbers and according to the geographical distribution in a way that does not violate the club’s rules and regulations.
