Uber CEO Dara Khusro Shahi confirmed that the American Electric Mum Industry Company Tesla will launch automated taxi service independently and will not cooperate with Uber.
Speaking at the Future Investment Initiative conference in Miami on February 21, Khosro Shahi said that discussions with the CEO of Tesla Illon Musk ended with the selection of Tesla as a single approach.
“They want to build it on their own,” Khosro Shahi said, but he pointed out that Uber remains open to a future partnership.
Tesla’s decision places herself in a competitor to Alpabett, which is planning to launch self -driving trips in Austin next month and expand Atlanta and Miami by 2026.
Since 2023, Uber has formed more than 12 partnerships with self -driving companies, but Tesla has chosen intolerance with the Uber platform.
Khusro Shahi believes, according to Techinasia, that Tesla’s participation may help stabilize demand in the self -driving vehicle market. For its part, Tesla did not comment on the matter.
